Making Baby Dolls for Haiti

On February 8, the Bell County Quilters met at Sue Golden's home. The project of the day was to make dolls for Haitian children whose lives have been touched by the recent earthquake.

As usual, we began with show and tell.

Carole shared some of her cross stitch talent ~ this time on her jean jacket.
On the front.....
...and on the back.  Gorgeous!

Sara shared her quilt from a previous session, which had her beautiful embroidery added.

Sue shared a quilt she has been working on.

Karen shared some cross stitch.

And then there were some jacket projects:

Then we got down to business: sewing,

ironing,

and stuffing dolls.

And the next best thing to sewing: Eating, of course!

Mmmmm!  Delicious!

Then a quick survey by Kay of our handiwork:

We certainly accomplished a lot!

Thanks, Sue, for hosting us!
